A Wonderful Gift

I was able to witness the sealing and marriage of my brother in-law to his wife this morning. I have been thinking a lot about what happened during the sealing. While I cannot tell the details of the ceremony I can tell you how wonderful it made me feel. Being there while an eternal family is bound together for time and all eternity is one of the most wonderful things in the world. I have been running through the ceremony in my head all day today. The insight that was given to Dan and Susie about how they should treat each other was wonderful. The temple president sealed them and he read the scripture about a husband and wife cleaving unto each other and no one else. He brought up that your husband or wife should be the center of your world, that there is nothing and no one else who should ever hold that spot besides your spouse. It is so important that we watch out actions and our priorities and make sure that there is no one and nothing placed before your spouse. I love Chris with all my heart and I do my best to make sure that Chris is in the center of my world. That is just one of the many things that touched my heart during this ceremony. I do not feel the need to share any specifics from their wonderful sealing, the specifics are not important to know. What is the most important part is how strong the spirit of the Lord was and how wonderful it felt. I have a strong testimony that Temple Marriage seals couples together for eternity. I felt the amazing power as they were sealed together, it was an instant and I could feel the amazing transformation from two separate individuals into an eternal family. What a blessing to know and understand the wonderful power that exists in the Holy Temples of the Lord, and the amazing blessings that are given in those Temples.
